Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use the calculator, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control or magnification. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Every input has a visible label, and help text and errors are linked to their field.
- The whole site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
- Results are announced politely to screen readers once you stop typing.
- Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- Pages reflow at narrow widths and high zoom without sideways scrolling.
- Charts carry a text description, and color is never the only way information is shown.
- Every page template is tested automatically for accessibility problems before each release.
Known limitations
Ads are provided by third parties and may not always meet the same standard. They are labeled, sit outside the calculator, and never block the inputs or the result.
