Who we are

HowMuchChildSupport is operated by Tech Mage (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (registration number 2026/392539/07), the controller of the limited data described here. Contact:hello@howmuchchildsupport.com.

We don't collect or store what you enter

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Incomes, the number of children and every other input stay on your device: they are not sent to us and nothing is saved in cookies or browser storage by our own code. Your entries appear only in the page address, so you can bookmark or share a scenario. Anyone you send the link to can see the figures in it.

Analytics

We use Microsoft Azure Application Insights to see which pages are used and to find errors. It is configured without cookies and without storing anything on your device, the IP address is not stored, and incomes are only ever recorded in broad bands (for example, $40,000 to $60,000), never as the amounts you typed.

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It may set cookies, subject to your choices in the consent message where one applies; IP addresses are not stored. It records no incomes or other inputs. See Google's privacy policy and terms.

Advertising

The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show and measure ads, subject to your choices in Google's consent message. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Advertisers never receive what you enter in the calculator.

Your privacy choices

If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to ask for it to be deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer (shown when ads are on) to open Google's opt-out message, or email us.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are only used with your consent, which you can give or refuse in the consent message. You have the rights to access, correct, delete and port your data, to object to and restrict processing, and to complain to your data protection authority.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like any web server, Azure processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keeps logs under Microsoft's terms.

International transfers

The services above may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, they rely on recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
