These terms apply to your use of HowMuchChildSupport (www.howmuchchildsupport.com), operated by Tech Mage (Pty) Ltd. By using the site you accept them.

Estimates only, not legal advice

The calculator and the content on this site give estimates of the child support guideline amount under each state's published guidelines. They are general information, not legal advice, and do not predict what a court or agency will order. Courts can deviate from the guidelines. Using the site does not create an attorney–client or any other professional relationship. For advice about your situation, contact a family law attorney or your state's child support agency.

No warranty

We work to keep every state's rules accurate and current, but the site is provided "as is", without any warranty that it is complete, accurate, current or fit for a particular purpose. Guidelines change, and individual cases involve facts a calculator can't capture.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Tech Mage (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its results.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site in a way that harms it or other users: no automated scraping that degrades the service, no attempts to break its security, and no use that breaks the law.

Embedding the calculator

You may embed the calculator on your own website free of charge using the code we provide, as long as the "Calculator by HowMuchChildSupport" attribution link stays intact and visible and you don't present the calculator as your own or as an official government tool.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text and code belong to Tech Mage (Pty) Ltd. State statutes, rules and guidelines remain public law; we link to their official sources.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. This does not take away any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of the state or country where you live.
